Avinode complement

Using Jet Intelligence alongside Avinode

Avinode is a marketplace. Jet Intelligence is a broker-owned sourcing record. How the two jobs differ, and when a desk should complement rather than replace marketplace search.

Marketplace liquidity and owned evidence are different jobs

Avinode is the category's large charter marketplace: live availability signals, estimated pricing, TripManager, messaging and payments. That liquidity is valuable when the desk needs a wide seller network quickly. It does not, by itself, become the broker's own record of who was asked, what was confirmed, which costs were still open, or how the client option was chosen.

Jet Intelligence is built for that second job. It holds a normalized operator and aircraft graph with source context, then keeps the RFQ, the structured reply, the comparison and the client proposal on the same mission. A desk can search a marketplace and still want a system that remembers the decision.

Where a complement is the honest fit

Use a marketplace when the requirement is network reach and a fast first price from operators you do not already know. Use a sourcing operating layer when the requirement is control: which suppliers are contacted, how the reply is structured, whether the price is all-in or conditional, and what the client is allowed to see.

The two can sit together. A marketplace reply can be transcribed into the mission as evidence, with its source marked, instead of being treated as if it came from the broker's own database. Owned records should not be overwritten by an enrichment feed. That boundary is the point of provenance.

What 'alternative' should not promise

Jet Intelligence does not claim Avinode's liquidity, estimated live pricing or payment network. Calling it a wholesale replacement would mislead a desk that depends on those tools. The accurate framing is narrower: an owned sourcing system for brokers who want the shortlist, the RFQ wave and the quote comparison under their own control, including when a marketplace is also in use.

Returnjet, FL3XX SOURCE and Leon cover adjacent jobs — search and quotes, broker CRM, and operator flight management. The same test applies. Ask which decision the tool is responsible for, then keep the systems that already own crew, dispatch and marketplace liquidity.
