Global business aviation logged 74,987 flights in the week of 12–18 October, up 0.41% on the prior week, according to Avi-Go tracking. Year-on-year gains at Teterboro and Le Bourget and a sharp jump at Mumbai stood out as the industry gathered for NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas.

Lead

Activity was flat overall. Avi-Go counted 74,987 business aviation flights for 12–18 October, a 0.41% week-on-week rise. The headline number hides big swings at individual hubs, which matter more for brokers pricing repositioning and for operators deciding where to base aircraft.

Americas

Teterboro (KTEB) remained the busiest business aviation airport in the Americas with 3,354 movements. That was 6.31% lower than the previous week but 9.93% above the same week last year. Washington Dulles (KIAD) rose 10.99% week on week, while Las Vegas (KLAS) fell 13.79% in the week before NBAA-BACE opened in the city. Dallas–Houston was again the busiest city pair in the region at 200 flights, down 9.09% both week on week and year on year. NetJets Aviation flew 9,353 flights in the Americas, and the Challenger 300 series logged the most flight hours of any model there, about 9,808.

Europe, Middle East and Africa

Paris Le Bourget (LFPB) led EMEA with 1,057 movements, down 19.44% week on week but up 6.12% year on year. Farnborough (EGLF) edged up 1.66%, while Milan Linate (LIML) dropped 25.94% week on week. Abuja–Lagos was the region’s busiest pair at 128 flights, 26.73% more than a year earlier. NetJets Europe flew 1,372 flights, and the Citation Excel/XLS family led EMEA flight hours. Abu Dhabi–Rabat was the region’s fastest-growing pair, up 114% week on week.

Asia-Pacific

Mumbai (VABB) led Asia-Pacific with 336 movements, up 37.70% on the week and 90.91% on the year. Hong Kong (VHHH) rose 33.09%, while Singapore Seletar (WSSL) fell 8.03%. Jakarta–Singapore was the busiest pair at 48 flights, up 23.08% week on week. VistaJet was the most active operator in the region with 154 flights, and the Gulfstream G650ER logged the most flight hours.

What Jet Intelligence readers should take away

Year-on-year growth at Teterboro, Le Bourget and Mumbai points to firm demand at the top hubs even as weekly volume wobbles. Brokers sourcing lift out of Mumbai or Hong Kong may find local availability tighter after the jump, while Lagos–Abuja keeps supporting regional supply in West Africa. Jet Intelligence ranks operators based in the departure or destination country first, then neighbouring countries, then aircraft already positioned nearby, which helps when a busy hub runs short.

NBAA-BACE notes

NBAA’s daily briefing ahead of this week’s NBAA-BACE flagged several items for operators. NBAA is partnering with Rolland Vincent Associates on member market intelligence that combines RVA’s survey data with NBAA’s view of the industry. IBAC is launching its CORE program to help smaller operators strengthen risk management ahead of the FAA’s May 2027 SMS deadline. Textron Aviation is debuting the Citation CJ3 Gen2, a light twinjet certified last October with a range of up to 2,040 nm. NBAA’s newsmakers lunch also featured Dan Drohan and Steve Varsano discussing two of the year’s largest business aviation deals.
